It would seem that just recently we reported that Mario Kart Tour is coming out on September 25th. And now, two months later, the game became the most downloaded on the iPhone in 2019. Apple unveiled the top downloads lists from the App Store, and Mario Kart Tour topped the list of free games. The title from Nintendo even surpassed Call of Duty: Mobile and Fortnite. The company did not provide an exact number of downloads, but we know for sure that CoD: Mobile was downloaded more than 100 million times in the first week on both platforms: iOS and Android.
Apart from the huge success of Mario Kart, there were almost no surprises in the top. The top free downloads, as always, consists of timekillers and big titles like CoD. Minecraft is still the leader in the paid top, and only the indie game Stardew Valley is of interest in this list, because such low-budget projects usually do not shine in the paid charts.
