The issues of creating, maintaining, and monetizing a blog traditionally raise a lot of questions. I am starting a series of articles in which I will analyze certain issues of blogging and blogging.
So, first, let's figure out what a blog is and how to become a blogger.
What is a blog
A blog is a kind of resource on the Internet that hosts an author's publications on a particular topic.
I deliberately do not call a website or a column in an Internet publication, or a page on a social network a blog, because, with the current frantic pace of technology development and the emergence of more and more tools and channels for disseminating information, it is impossible to clearly define what can now be called a blog and what cannot.
In my opinion, a blog should meet three criteria.
- Author's content. Not re-posts of other people's thoughts, but their own point of view on their own or someone else's experience. Even if you want to share someone else's news, it should be reworked and served under the sauce of your own reflections on the topic.
- The identity of the author. Without the personality of the author, a blog is hardly a blog. A blog is, first of all, trust in its author, and if the author is unknown, the concept of a blog loses its meaning. Of course, there are a lot of successful resources online with materials that don't have an identity, but this is a slightly different format of online entrepreneurship.
- Digital dissemination of information. In whatever format the blog is kept (a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, an autonomous blog, or a bundle of several channels at once), its digital format is a prerequisite. A blog assumes the ability to share information with the whole world, without any restrictions
What is blogging
Blogging is the process of blogging.
In fact, this is the content of the blog plus its promotion.
Filling alone may not be enough. Of course, Content is The King, but do not forget that every day new resources appear on the Internet, and in order to stand out from them, you should take care of promotion or, as they say, promotion of your blog.
Who can become a blogger
Anyone!
Seriously. If you have something to say, you may already be a blogger.
For example, you have a hobby that you can talk about long and enthusiastically. Surely, a huge number of people on the planet share your passion and will gladly become your subscribers.
Perhaps you were able to solve some problem, and now your friends and acquaintances are turning to you for advice. In order not to retell your story to everyone individually, you can create a blog and share in it everything that can help other people.
Or you have a solid store of knowledge, skills and abilities in some area, and this may also be of interest to your future audience.
As you can see, anyone can be a blogger. It doesn't matter if you are a professional builder, a gambling fisherman, a young mom raising two fidgets, a housewife passionate about cooking, or a top manager who easily and quickly learned English for future work in a foreign branch - your experience can be very much in demand by the same people looking for answers to your questions on the Internet.
The reasons why I created this blog are not very different from those given above.
When I started making money online, they started asking me questions about how everything works. Every day there were more and more questions, and I had less and less time to answer them.
I decided to create a resource on which I would begin to share the accumulated knowledge so that everyone who wants to learn something new for themselves could come in at any time and read what interests them.
Plus, blogging is my real passion. I have many hobbies, but I love writing, speaking, and generally speaking on topics that interest me. Therefore, the second mission of this blog is to help those people who are also looking for themselves but do not know where to start.
I am completely convinced that anyone can become a blogger on their favorite topic and start making money from it via the Internet.
